2010 class project

In an effort to make Leadership Buffalo available to referential leaders in under served areas, the class created the Leadership Opportunity Scholarship Fun (LOSF). The project goal is to raise funds for the tuition for one recipient.

Events are hosted throughout the year to support this initiative.

"I was honored to be a member of the Leadership Buffalo Class Experience 2011. When one thinks of the term leader, many definitions come to mind. I was fortunate to see leadership firsthand, and was surrounded by individuals who make a difference in the WNY community on a daily basis. It was a humbling once in a lifetime opportunity that I will NEVER forget. Thank you for the Scholarship and the ability to be a member of Leadership Buffalo."
Michael Szymanski

As a native of Buffalo with many years working in both the Business and Human Services arenas, I felt that I had a fairly solid connection with the community and a decent knowledge of the history of the city. It was surprising to me to learn that there were many other areas or aspects of the city that I was not aware of.

Meeting so many new people (classmates) and learning about their talents and desire to contribute to the community was exciting. The new knowledge, friendships and professional connections afforded to me through this experience are priceless.

I am proud to be a part of an organization that brings together and supports people who are committed to strengthening, growing and bringing about positive change in our community; all under the guide of Leadership Buffalo's values of - Service, Openness to Change, Inclusion and Diversity. As a result of my experience, I have become even more engaged in and committed to my community.

I am ever grateful for the scholarship that allowed me to have this experience and I will do all I can to support Leadership Buffalo, so that others may have the same opportunity for such an enlightening experience as I have.
