Racial Literacy with Ragan and Amos Consultants

In this impactful, blame free, and thought provoking workshop participants will explore broad definitions of bias, diversity, equity and inclusion, and other interrelated concepts, and will engage in self-reflection activities and guided conversations about race, managing and challenging one’s own biases, and being responsive to the moment.

Yvonne Minor Ragan, Ph.D., is an internationally renowned, award-winning Educational Leader and Consultant. Yvonne is an expert in Strategic and Organizational Planning; Policy and Professional Development; and Curriculum Design and Assessment. Relevant experiences include: Successful Principalships, Executive Director of a Community Based Organization, Co-Founder of a Successful Charter School; President of Buffalo Promise Neighborhood; and Motivational Keynote Speaker featured in an International Study of Successful Leaders and a CNN News documentary. Yvonne also served as Chair of the John R. Oishei Race and Ethnic Task Force, and currently serves on NYS Department of Children & Family Services Advisory Committee and Erie County Poverty Committee.

Antoinette Amos, M.A. (LB '12), is a Trainer, Consultant, Speaker, and author. Antoinette has a Master of Arts degree in Social and Public Policy and a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology of Deviance and has more than 25 years of experience in human and social services and government. Her area of expertise is in the interconnectivity of factors impacting social behavior. Relevant experiences include New York State Buffalo Regional Office Regional Training Coordinator, New York State Office Children Family Services Licensor/Investigator, Training Evaluator with CDHS/Research Foundation, and Director of Early Foundations for Buffalo Promise Neighborhood. She also serves as a Guest Lecturer, Speaker and as a contributing writer for various publications.
