Leadership Development Series

Join Leadership Buffalo, and Jessica Schimert (RL '12) of Performance Management Partners, as we explore Generations at Work

For the first time in modern history, our workforce includes 5 generations! The ability to interact with members from five generations might, at first, appear to be a daunting task. However, with a little understanding and TLC, we can capitalize on the strengths and value of each generation to build a culture of engagement: a highly satisfied and productive workplace. This interactive workshop provides a survey of generations at work and explores best practices for managing a generationally diverse team.

This interactive workshop will accomplish the following objectives:

  • Describe the five generations in today's workplace: personalities, values, motivations, strengths
  • Discuss the impact generational differences have on communication styles and work preferences
  • Identify strategies for communicating with and motivating members of each generation
  • Promote stronger communication in a generationally diverse team
  • Create a culture of workplace engagement involving all generations

Each Leadership Buffalo Alumni member who registers may also register up to three (3) additional guests at the rate listed below. Additional guests are not required to be LB Alumni.

LOCATION: All trainings are held from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 500 Seneca Street, 4th Floor Conference Room
